 The riverside property features a bold and modern exterior. The front landscaping is gradually becoming more and more alike with the house itself. The rear is also impressive. Designed on several levels, this area features a beautiful pool with a lounge space and a very spacious patio with an outdoor dining area and a fireplace. One of the main goals for this project was to maintain a strong connection with the house. In a way, water is a link that connects the front of the house to the other side. The views across the river are an element that defines both areas. The orientation of the house played an important role here. There’s also a suspended structure, like a bridge deck that sits over the main water feature and thus allows water to become a part of the interior design as well.

 What’s interesting is the fact that plants are almost entirely missing, which is unusual for a house with both a front and rear outdoor space. Plants were kept to a minimum for maintenance reasons.
